      Nice one John.

I intend putting my lowered suspension back on 396 in due course. The only fly in the ointment will be that the shocks are still standard and the springs drop out of their cups when the car is elevated. Cable-tying them to the cups seems such a low-rent 'chaved' solution, though I know it's a fairly widespread practise.

I suspect I'd face divorce-proceedings though if I spent what you will be expecting those to fetch, when I all I would really want from the kit are shorter shocks.

Have a bid, you never know! The suspension kit is not unbearable, it's quite good actually but I won't be using it again .

They will fit a TD but beware the engine is heavier than the petrol and that it will be very low!

Yes, but you might risk bottoming the car out. I think 1 1/2" was the 'best' recommended for a Montego.

True. Pitty you didn't include a Buy It Now. I've a history of being pretty wreckless with BINs: I can't resist! What doesn't amuse me is throwing a punt in, watching it for a week, then finding myself outbid in the dying seconds by something stupid like 50p or a tenner at most. It pi**es me off, so I tend not to bid on auctions unless what I want is plentiful.

I will let you know. I live next to a post office so it won't be a problem to weigh them. Otherwise, I will probably be going to Spain soon so can put them in my suitcase for you!

I will tell you the price for postage...but yes - it would be nice to see you and the car. I have not decided when to go to Spain yet but I plan to go quite soon.
