  • M&MOC Spring Rally 11th may 2013

The Club is to hold a spring rally at the Heritage Motor Centre motor museum, located in Gaydon. This will be held on the 11th May between 10.00am and 4.00pm.

All club and forum members welcome, space will be on a first come first served basis, however I cant see that being a problem based on previous experience.... if there is a miracle and more than 20 cars turn up then they'll just be able to park in the main car park area.

there is no fee to park up, but access to the museum will be at club rates - which is somewhere in the region of £8.00

The following day is the Gaydon Spring classic - for those wanting to make a weekend of it.

If this turns into a success - future years may see it turn into the 'Club National day'

    Anyone coming??

Always wanted to go to Gaydon and this would be a great opportunity but I fear family holiday may conflict - are there any plans for the club to attend formally the BMC and Leyland day in July that was mentioned in the POL thread?

if we can get a few members turning up it could turn into a good event.

There will be a decent number of Allegros to look at on the 11th as well: the Allegro Club are celebrating 'Allegro 40' there over the whole weekend.

I understand there will also be a good turnout of Metros on the Sunday.

Might it be better holding this on the Sunday?

the trouble is it's all booked in now Chris, it'd be a shame to mess the museum about.

is anyone else interested in coming on the Saturday...? i think the idea was initially tohave a bit of a gathering without too many distractions - a place to meet, discuss stuff & exchange bits and pieces etc.

ideally we'd like to be a bit more like the Alllegro Club and eventually have our own National day - without blending into a mass of BL tin.

This event is now cancelled due to lack of interest... see new event - The Gaydon Spring Classic which is happening on the 12th.
