  • Windscreen rubber seal

    Hello All

I am looking for a windscreen rubber seal for my Maestro restoration, can anyone point me towards where I can source one?

Tried a windscreen fitters - Lancashire windscreens - which had been recommended by a friend on here, but they don't have any and say they are no longer available.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Andrew

When I got a new screen in the van, they used a universal seal. Its quite a bit thicker than the OE one but the upside is is shouldn't chafe on the frame and rot the metal like the standard one does

yes, I used the universal seal also which fits fine. The windscreen seal for a citroen bx is supposed to be an exact fit also

            Windscreen seal

Thanks Pete, I think that company may be the way to go for both screen and seal

                Chris

Sorry it's taken me a while to reply (was trying to find details).
Windscreen came from these guys I think - http://www.yorkshiretradewindscreens.co.uk/
Seal was a Pilkington one from a guy based in Leeds. All I have is this eBay link (which doesn't work now) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUSTIN-MAE...item27f057d8ee

Sorry I can't be more helpful
