I was interested to read Robert Marsh's article on model Maestros and Montegos. He didn't mention the Scalextric MG Maestro of which I have one and it's also worth mentioning for those of us who are used to making models that Shapeways do some 3D printed models as well, in Plastic Bumper, Metal Bumper and Van versions, here's the OO scale plastic bumper version:

I've often wondered about the lack of models in OO (1:76) scale as they have virtually every other AR/BL/BMC car available so whilst at the Warley National Model Railway Show in November I went and had a few words with the guy from Oxford Diecasts who I feel would be the most obvious manufacturer to produce one. He was quite amenable to the suggestion, and it was he that pointed out that it would be right within their remit, going alongside their Sierra and Cavalier... In fact he admitted it was certainly a strange oversight.
Robert, hopefully you are reading this or someone can contact you, but can I suggest that you send one of those "packs" you mentioned to them for their consideration?
