Neither of my wing mirrors adjust from inside the car. I'm assuming it's the switch at fault (I did try changing the odd fuse when I first got the car).
I'm well aware this switch was used for years on many models. I have learnt though that the 'pin outs' differ and ones from Rover 200/25s suit but NOT MGFs.
May removing, cleaning the existing switch be an option?
Number one - the wiper on the passenger side of the windscreen parks a couple of inches ABOVE the bonnet line. Any suggestions as to the cause, issue?
I can't fully lift the wiper arm with either the bonnet up or down which don't help in investigating things.

Living across from the Cowley factory as a nipper and having a large % of my family employed at BL / Austin Rover all our family cars were bought via the Employee car purchase scheme so we had Marinas,Maxis,SD1 and Maestro I can remember, all picked up from Hartwell Cowley I think.

My first car was an Allegro bought within an hour of passing my test soon replaced with a Metro Turbo ( A489 GPK ) and then a Montego Turbo ( D985 BOY ) which I kept until I got a company car around the age of 23 when I ended up after a few years as a sales exec at Hartwell Abingdon driving Rover 400, 600 and 75's and was there for the demise of the brand and the blue oval continued its dominance by taking over the showroom.

I now have an other C Plate Montego Turbo in Azure blue, sadly not white like my original one but beggars cant be choosers, bad timing as I am halfway through restoring a Reliant Rialto which lost the fight for who gets the garage.

She needs a little bit of love in places but overall is very tidy, has a broken unobtanuim centre console only seen in the Turbo and VP it seems, a fuse box cover for under the dash by the drivers knees and I could do with some external rear window trims as I imagine they will break when I pull them off to do a little rot prevention ( Ironically this was the only place my old Monty had any rust before I sold it ) but none of this is desperate or makes it un-driveable.

Has the incorrect speakers in the rear so the covers don't fit but luckily the aperture hasn't been altered so I can put it back to standard along with the the original radio cassette.

Added bonus of being tax and MOT exempt and the insurance cost is a pleasant shock at £80 a year fully comp with a guaranteed value which is a welcome cost saving.

Will look to take some pictures and do some updates as and when I pull bits off it.

Pat.
