Hi, I bought one in Spain, 2nd hand. Now if you're in a pickle a Rover 3.5 V8 SDI pumps fits and works I had one but foolishly sold it off as not being 'original'. Rimmers sell them for about £120.00. This photo show it fitted to my 2.0EFi Maestro, it's a tad taller than the Monty/Maestro version and leaves about a 1/4" indent in the bonnet insulation.

I have a good article about power steering on Montys/Maestros, best read it before changing pump. The belt tensions (both of them) are critical.

Thanks for this. I bought a diesel one but didn't realise it's the wrong one. I also have a belt so may change and see if it quietens it down. Its noisy when cold

Diesel pump is attached to the other side of the engine so goes backwards.

As I said if anyone is really in a bind the Rover SDI V8 model fits and works, Rimmers sell them at about £120.00 and they're new!!
