The wheel arches aren't disasterously bad on our Monty, but it would be ideal to find new ones - proving to be about as hard as The Holy Grail. Anyone help out? I gather that rear wheel arches from Golf Mk 1 and/or 2 can be made to work? I managed to find the email exchange I had with Peter Stevens (Pete's Body Parts - Essex) back in 2014, when he supplied brand-new sills and wheel arches for a previous Monty. (Those were the days...) Looking him up, I find he died in December 2023.

I think the Golf ones were pretty close to Maestro ones, which also have similar profiles on the front wings, which can be hacked to bits and used (if there are any left!) The Montego rear arch is different to Maestro and also different to the Montego front ones. If I had to guess, I'd say that they'd be nearer to an Escort than anything else. It might be worth taking a profile gauge to a friendly panel shop?
good luck

I used the opposite side front wing to repair mine. Also a Mk1 golf inner arch. Both required a bit of fabrication but with a skilled welder it's your best bet. I have seen arch repair panels that used to sell for £40 go for £200 since they recently went NLA
