  • MG-Rover Car Show, Worthing, East Sussex October 2nd

There is going to be a new motor show on Sunday October 2nd. MJS Auto and Marine Garage - MG Rover Specialists - and MG-Rover Sussex have teamed up to present a brand new motor show for the south coast...Lancing Motor Show! All MG Rover cars are welcome, so it would be good to put on a display of Maestros and Montegos. All other cars from MG Rover, from classic to modern, are welcome and they are even indicating that is open to other makes as well. Lets just hope for good weather as this could be a fitting end to the clasic car show year.

With my car still in pieces, I won't be able to show mine, but am more than willing to act as coordinator if there is enough club interest. I will also be looking to set up a calendar of events for members in the south and south east for next year, in addition to the main events the club organise.

Hi all, I have just confirmed that I will be attending this. For those not so local, the event is actually by Lancing beach, which is one of the best beaches in the south east at low tide. Its a few miles along the coast from Worthing. Can't find tide times for October at the moment, but if you are there all day you will see it!!

Not sure if I will be taking my MG Maestro or the MG6 at the moment. Depends if I get the fuel tank leak sorted or not!

MJS Autos specialise in MG Rover and originally built the business up changing K series head gaskets! The boss is an ex MG Rover mechanic, so knows his stuff.

Chris, As all the club spaces have been allocated, we won't be able to do a club stand this year. All I can suggest is that you enter as an individual by going to ww.facebook.com/Lancingmotorshow

Jez has indicated he will be there one way or another and I will go as a spectator and try to get things ready for next year. The only downside will be that we won't be able to get the cars together, but at least it will be better to have some representation, rather than none at all.

Just come back from this show at Lancing in West Sussex. Blessed with great weather and on the lawns right by the sea. Great variety of cars with Jez being the sole representative of the Maestro and Montego marque. All being well, shall try to organise a club stand for next year.

Would have attended this if it hadn't of been the British Touring Car Championship decider at Brands!
