  • Mg maestro rear shocks choise?

As per below thread I am struggling to find any kyb shocks to replace the warn ones.

    http://maestro.org.uk/forums/forum/g...another-option

I want to keep the same ride height that is on now. From what I can tell I need to get some the same pan height. I have found these kyb ones but am I right in saying they will make the car sit higher?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KYB-Shock-...53.m1438.l2649

Does anyone know if these are the same pan height as the kyb 341106 I have one now?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TO-CLEAR-N...53.m1438.l2649

Or any other makes I can use that will match the kyb 341106. Cheers Andy

    Also seen these:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/G807-SPAX-...53.m1438.l2649

Bit pricey but if its all I can get and an improvement I might have to go for them. Just rang the mechanic and he said the ride height will stay the same if the measurement from where they bolt on to where the spring sits is the same as the kyb's currently on. cant find any measurements though, any one know or used these on there mg maestros?

I have bought them massively overpriced kyb shocks from France, although they haven't been marked as sent yet on eBay, see what happens there. Wasn't sure I had any other options didn't want to risk getting any that would make the rear of the car look like it was on stilts. Out of interest where did you order your gas shocks from? How much were they? Would they be the same size as the kyb shocks and whats wrong with the ones you are selling? Cheers Andy

Well the company in France has refunded me and said they are also out of stock. Looks like there's no more kyb shocks anywhere! Might be a bones as I have just ordered these. Only £30 a pair. they appear to be the same size 157mm length.

Ordered this afternoon already been posted. Don't think they will be as good as kyb's but better than knackered shocks. Anyone heard of that make?

only looking for £100 for them, back shocks recently refurb, and powder coated black, front need refurb working perfect but look tatty, Gaz refurb the backs for free for me because i complained how tatty they had gone for only 3 years old, and only 4,000 miles, they was doing the front for free too, but i asked about getting good deal for Gaz golds instead hence front shockers weren't done, but they charge £100 pair to refurb so still massive saving on new, there set for standard height but there adjustable.
