MG Maestro 1991 Cylinder head bolts

  • MG Maestro 1991 Cylinder head bolts

    Can any one help please I need 10/ of set of cylinders head bolts for my MG Maestro 1991
    had to have the cylinder head skimmed and I have no head bolts cannot locate any , does any one know what they are made off as I will need to have them made
    any help please

    The head is secured by 4 long studs, 4 short studs and 2 bolts. Diameter of all will be 10mm. The long studs are about 170mm long, the short ones 130mm and the studs about 120mm. They will need to be high tensile steel as they need to take torque figures of 80lb/ft. Beyond that I can't help much more. Hopefully there is someone else who has access to one to provide thread details and confirm my size guesstimations!

      I have a set of you can wait till the end of the month when I get back home from holiday. They're a good used set complete with washers

        Thank you Jeff that would be ace car currently in garage if you can let me know and what you want for them I will sort as soon as you are back they had made my day ! I have tried everything.. thought my car was going to be a no go but now seems hopeful

              Yeah no worries, will sort when I get back. Have to ask, what happened to your existing as they're not stretch bolts?

                Are they not? The garage is telling me they cannot go back in cylinder head was warped the garage are telling me they cannot go back in and I need to replace them do you think they can ? Any help I would appreciate

                  No they're not stretch bolts 100% correct.
                  Unless yours are in some way very rusty or damaged they can be used again.
                  Modern engines use stretch bolts, older do not

                    just had a call one of the bolts has broken when he has put them back in garage just called can you help can I buy those off you please
