Hoping so, I've also ordered a set of samco water hoses as the existing are slowly falling apart which has been an issue since it's been on the road

    • Some new hoses won't do any harm, I'm always a bit wary of n.o.s. original ones, if they haven't been stored correctly they could be a ticking time bomb!

      • Yeah was getting a fed up with one going, then another etc so ordered these but due in September, Chris won't be driving for a few months anyway as he's had a motorbike accident and broken a few bones https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155382372...Bk9SR8z045evZA

Sorry to hear that, it sounds like one of those things that could have been worse, but is quite bad enough..there's not much between you and the scenery on a bike..Hope he is not too bad & that he gets well soon. At least he'll have a watertight cooling system to look forward to when he recovers. Those pipes look good, not cheap, but must be just about hand made I guess.

Made to order and should be here by the end of September hopefully, will then put on the triple core rad
He's not too bad, struggling a bit with dizziness, pain in the shoulder blade as it got smashed and ribs sore from three being broken. All his bike clothing got cut off him, helmet is knackered so that's all gone but as least he's alive and will get better over time

            • Arrived two weeks early and waiting to be attached. Will but new jubilee clips first though and will also buy the missing hose from the set. The rear water pipe to the matrix pipe isn't included

Ta, Chris is now using it before getting it ready for the NEC Classic Car show, then it will be put away for the winter

                      • This car is determined, in near 30 years of driving Montego Turbo's I've never met one so determined to leak water when it can anywhere and everywhere, hasn't leaked since until today. This will now have to wait till after the NEC

                        • Unbelievable after all that work and new parts! I'm sure cars have personalities, even though they are just a selection of inanimate objects bolted together. That one seems to have a warped sense of humour...
