Got it fixed now though...a lot of heartache, but thankfully leak free. Nothing to do with gaskets, a slight crack in the sump. Sealed now.

I'm still having problems with leaking sump gasket, had new one fitted recently, but after a run out, loads of oil dripping from sump...it may have to come off again

The car gets picked up this morning, shame as I wanted to keep this one. Also after many years I don't have any of my cars left in my barn. My era of these cars are slowly coming to an end as I only want one montego by the end of 2017

Is now sorn as it's developed a fuel problem. Will have to strip down the carb so have taken it off the road to used my Montego Advantage

Can finally start using it again.

Finally made a start on all the oil leaks this afternoon
Sump removed, breather removed again. All cleaned and re-sealed
Head gasket next as the rear seal of the cam carrier is also leaking so I may as well do the lot

New sump gasket delivered today, thanks Adrian
Yet another oil leak found at the rear of the headgasket so will be sorting that at the same time.
The car has left quite a few little oil patches now so I won't be moving it until I've fixed every leak.
Allways the same when a car doesn't get used much, I should know after owning montegos for years but never knew a 1.6 could leak everywhere
So I'm now changing the sump gasket, breather gasket, headgasket, cam gaskets, manifold gasket. Hopefully that will cure it, shame as the car is very smooth to drive
