  • Washing seat covers

I am refurbishing my seats. I have stripped them right down and thought how do I wash the covers? Anyone know a good way to do this whilst off the frame? A hand wash? Cool wash? In or out of the washing machine?
    cheers

Most fabric is designed to be cleaned, I have hand washed the material before but be careful as the material has a fabric glued to the back, mind you after all these years it would have separated by now. I have also heard of people putting in a washing machine on a gentle cool wash so try either. Just not a hot wash or it might distort the piping

Just remembered I started a post some time ago about the same subject!!!!
Washed them this afternoon with a gentle washing powder liquid?? What a right mess the water was. They came out ok but another wash may be needed.
