    would a left hand drive car in the uk, pass its mot with beam defletors on its headlights ?

    Yes, as far as I know, so long as beam was still set right & not dazzling, but with an advisory saying that they were fitted... I think testers manual is online somewhere...I'll see if I can remember where & check that. I used to get rhd vehicles that spent a lot of time in Europe tested with deflectors on, got an advisory every time, but saved me wasting money on new deflectors every time.

          Almost easier to change the lamps for RHD ones though!
