  • leaking exhaust manifold

    I need to change the gasket of the collectors but I can not access the lower screws that hold any advice? it's a montego 2.0i

    You need to remove the 2 bolts/nuts from under the car for the inlet manifold

      I have to disassemble the intake and exhaust manifolds, but I can not remove the screws that are under the manifolds

        There are no screws, there are 2 nuts holding the inlet manifold from underneath. They're at each centre and you will have to remove them from under the car. Jack the car up and put on axle stands. You'll need either a 10mm socket or 13mm socket. Once you remove the inlet manifold you can see all the nuts and bolts on the exhaust manifold. If you need to remove the 3 nuts that connect to the down pipe, you'll need to be careful as they snap easily. Again they're either 10mm or 13mm as I've seen both sizes used.
