  • Throttle cable

My car is booked on the Eurostar and due to go to Le Mans.I need to be ready!

I am therefore asking - how can I best make an emergency throttle cable should the worst happen?

Do I use a petrol one at the pedal end and then use an electrical connector for the other / adapt my broken one in the same way, and / or carry bicycle wire?

I guess I should lubricate hinges at the pedal and engine bay end.

    Any recommendations?

Ps: nam 7092 has been nla for ages

I would take a petrol one and some block connectors, no harm in taking a bike one as well, none of it is too heavy or bulky. If it does snap, you have more options then, depending on the location of th break. On plant I've sometimes ended up cable tying the outer to governor arm and anchoring the inner, downside is that whole cble moves, upside is that a shorter cable gets you going..
