  • Maestro wheel bearings

I notice on ebay there are one piece replacements, are these better than the original 2 bearings seperated by a spacer ?

If its the front hub then there are two bearing options.

A two piece bearing for earlier cars and a one piece larger bearing for later cars (which is supposed to last longer).

I don't think they're inter-changeable as the hubs are different.

there are two types of one piece bearing as well, ball thrust and taper roller, Rover discontinued the ball thrust fairly quickly as it was prone to failure, but they are still available nos or pattern parts, best avoided if possible.

it will be a two piece bearing, make sure the hub/drum is not worn. Is the old bearing rumbling?

As above, A two piece bearing and you will need to keep the spacer in the centre as bearings don't come with it. Easy job to remove
