Can anybody recommend a good kit to refurbish a grey leather MG steering wheel?

I noticed that Jeff has used one in his MG Montego restoration thread: is it still available, did it do a good job, what shade of grey is needed and does it affect the red stitching? (Sorry, lots of questions!)

    Thanks in advance

I'm going to restore an MG steering wheel, probably with some leather creme and elbow grease, had a go on a small part and coming up nicely. Will post some photos when done, this is how it is at the moment (when it was on the car). Managed to replace mine with a new/old stock one

The leather dye I used is still available, you can darken or lighten as required, from the pictures I posted up it looked a bit blue but I managed to darken the tint

Thanks both of you: I haven't progressed this further yet, due to other priorities (most being a 4-letter word beginning with R which all Maestro and Montego owners will be familiar with) but it will be a nice project for the dark evenings that will soon be on us. I have more than one steering wheel to go at, so it won't be a major disaster if my first attempt doesn't look right. (Have you finished yours yet, Peter, and do you have any photos?)

This appears to be similar to your kit, Jeff, and is probably what I will try first: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/repairwiz...p2046732.m1684
