Hello - I have a 1985 1.6 Maestro HLS that has an issue restarting when it has been left in hot weather. Apparently a heat shield was fitted on later cars that prevented heat from the exhaust manifold vaporising fuel in the carburettor, but I can't confirm this and don't know the part number. Can anybody confirm / help / let me know where I can get one? Thanks, Andy

Here Andy but NLA and made from Asbestos. I would make one up from a more modern material, from say a head shield for an exhaust and double it up if neeed https://maestro.org.uk/forums/forum/...-6-heat-sheildLast edited by Jeff Turbo; 17th August 2020, 14:12.1958 Ford Consul Convertible.
