  • Austin Maestro heatshield S series engine

I know that the heatshield is now unobtainable .Does anyone have an old one lying about that they could do a paper pattern of so that I could make one up prior to taking the carb off . I dont expect you to part with it (asbestos anyway) just kindly supply me with a pattern . Thank you Mick

From memory the original headshield was a little a bit too small. I would make one up that would cover the manifolds enough to stop heat affecting the carb. Did this on my Zodiac very effectively just by looking and experimenting starting with a basic square shape and altering where needed
