  • Wheel bearings for 1986 Austin Maestro 1.3 city X

Hello, can someone please let me know the part number for front wheel bearings for my 1986 Austin Maestro 1.3 city X. The old timer mechanic friend of mine thinks it is a VW Golf part, is this correct? Also, any suggestions as to where I can buy them?

What you can do is go to EuroCarparts online and put your registration in. Go to Hub and bearings and you should see the correct bearing for your Maestro. If I put my Reg in, one front wheel bearing comes up under product code 628750081.

Else search the web for Unipart front wheel bearing part number GHK126.

Alternatively contact a motor factors online or by phone, giving your registration and vehicle details.

    Hope this helps.

Is your's a split bearing or one piece? If you're not sure, what's the vin number? Later type, QWB661 one piece is the same as an MGF, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fits-Rear...EAAOSwTw5bm952 earlier QWB594 twin bearing should be this but check first https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAESTRO-F...MAAOSw~nFfpmod https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAESTRO-F...MAAOSwmiZZxNVm

I did, but the later one said it will not fit my car and the earlier one says it will fit all year model. That left me a little confused.

You need the solid front bearing type from your vin number. It's the same as an MFG bearing as said previously and your link bearing is the same as the link I put up. If you're happy to buy your linked one, then that's the one your need. Not a problem but you need the solid type so doesn't matter where you get it from. Be aware though, cheap bearings, even the link I put up, don't last long as I found from past experience. I put his link up as I've found he has better quality bearings than eurocarparts in the past.

You need GHK1261, you can find them easily enough on Ebay or probably at your local auto factor. Here's some :
