  • What can I do with my turbo head?

    Me again..

Since you are a knowledgeable bunch and very helpful I though I would ask your thoughts on what could be done with my cylinder head. There is pitting between the water and oil ways (as pictured) and evidence that this is what lead to the gasket blowing.

Can it be repaired? sealed? or can I get hold of a replacement head?

Weld repair the head then skim it.

      Thanks.

Would having the head skimmed upset the C/R for the turbo?

The head is flat, so no, not really.

          Thanks.

Have sent photos to my machine shop who say they can do it, depending on full inspection - so it's off there at the weekend for appraisal and will get the rest of the head checked out at the same time.

          Are stem seals obtainable?

I'm told that the perkins prima stem seals fit (never tried it myself though!).
