  • Remote boot release

The remote boot release has stopped working on my MG, the cable is fine I just think there's not enough tension on it to open the boot, but I can't see where to adjust it? The cable is attached both ends, could the cable have stretched?

possible, or something maay have got bent, I seem to remember bending the arm that the cable pulls on at the boot end to retenssion the cable in mine years ago, I take it the release is oiled up and free?

Open the flap manually. With someone there get them to pull on the lever, if the release hook is working then it's the small clip that needs adjustment near the flap hinge. Looks like a half cycle on the flap, open it out a bit

Which flap do you mean Jeff? It's the boot lid that won't open

Whoops, didn't read that right did I. Boot lever has moved. Open the boot and look at the lock from the inside, there is a small lever. Move it up or down, (cant remember which)
