  • Some faults

    Hello,
I have some faults in my montego.

When I turn left and accelerate it makes me a clock clock clock which I suppose will be the short external transmission.
Does anyone know where I can find it?

Another part is the rubber on the top of the shock absorber that makes contact with the chassis. It is very worn and causes the shock absorber rod to protrude more from its housing.
Does anyone have the measurements to make a new one in polyurethane? Or do you know where to get them? . I am interested in making them in polyurethane since I have a threaded suspension.

The last fault is that when I am going to reduce a gear at the moment of half the clutch pedal when the friction of the disk is starting, a tremor is noticeable and it is only felt at that moment. Could it be the flywheel? The clutch has 20,000 km.

    Thanks you

Clicking noise would normally be the CV joint. There are a few on ebay but I don't know if they will post overseas. What engine size it your car?
Which part is hitting the inner wing top? The top bush or lower ?
Clutch. You will not know if it is the friction plate unless you remove the gearbox. Do you feel it through the pedal or through the car juddering?

      Hi Jeff,

My car is a montego 2.0 efi.

The part I am referring to is the rubber that sits on top of the suspension bearing and makes contact with the chassis where the shock absorber sits on top.
The tremor spreads through the entire car

      Thanks

Yes jeff . A few years ago I tried to buy this part at rimmer bros but they were out of stock

Do you know what can cause the rest of the problems?

          Thanks you very much

I answered what I think is your faults on thread 2. Clicking could be the CV joint, outer driveshaft.
Clutch, do you feel the juddering at the pedal or is the car juddering?

Is all the car juddering, not only the pedal.

              Thanks

Could be gearbox mount failure or rear engine mount failure so check those
