MG 2.0 EFI Heater Resistor Faulty

Thanks for the heads up. Before I do, are there any spares available? I've not found any from searches.

The resistor packs come with wiring attached, they are very difficult to find and very expensive if you do find one. An early Freelander one like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/406341066221 can be made to fit with the aid of some silicon sealer and a dremel, it has 3 speeds iirc, so you'll need to use its slowest speeds. At least one van owner left the old resistors in the heater unit to block the hole and extended the wires through the bulkhead so that they could mount the resistors in a easily accessible place on the front strut. If you do remote mount them they'll need to be somewhere where the heat won't be a problem.

The only way to remove the resistor and check it is to remove the dash.

My heater is only working on the 3rd setting. Wondered if anyone has knowledge of the fix for these. Is it a replacement heater resistor and if so, does anyone know the part number and availability?
