  • Maestro Van Brake discs.

These are often wrongly listed as being car ones, or vice versa, the original part numbers are GBD90821, GBD90812, NAM4157, GBD90808, there are 4 fixing holes on a 4" (101.6mm, often mistakenly listed as 102mm!) which are tapped m10. Ferodo DDF282 is listed as fitting cars, but is in fact a van disc, the list of numbers is lifted from an internet listing for ferodo discs, the ones I've checked all have 4" pcd and are van discs, be wise to double check befor buying, but I'm very confident that they are all van numbers..

What's the difference apart from 22mm vented and a 12mm solid front brake disc?
I want to fit vented 22mm discs to my 83 Y mg 1600, it has a 12mm solid disc.
is the brake caliper for a vented disc wider/bigger than the solid disc caliper?
like above, it's a bloody mine field when sourcing standard brakes or upgrading.
I've always used an EBC green stuff pad when an ABS system is not on the car, those pads alone make one hell of a differance.
can anyone shed any light on my above ramblings?

The car parts are all interchangeable, for vented discs you'll need the wider caliper and carrier, the pads are the same though. The diesel Montego estate had ventilated discs, so if you find anyone that is breaking one it will have the parts that you need.
