Please read BEFORE posting a for sale or wanted ad

Due to the increase number of for sale and wanted threads appearing, the need for a few 'ground rules' has arisen.
  • Please begin your thread title with either 'FOR SALE' or 'WANTED' to avoid confusion.
  • Please state your location, even if this is available on your profile.
  • When selling, please indicate a price.
  • Where possible, please try to include pictures (this applies mostly to vehicles rather than parts) as it will improve your chances of a sale.
  • Try also posting your advert in the proper Classifieds section on the club website.
  • And finally, please post when your item has sold or you have found what you are looking for so we can close the thread to avoid unnecessary hassle.

Adverts not conforming to this structure may be locked without notice until the necessary changes are implemented to avoid the unnecessary clogging up of the forum with people repeatedly asking the same questions.

Many thanks

  • [For Sale] MG Maestro garden find

MG Maestro for rescue or parts as per this message received from the owner.

"I have a MG Maestro 2 litre EFI "F" reg which I would like to get rid of. It is currently in the garden and has been off the road since before 2000. Would you be interested in the parts?
We are in Telford and it will need to be pulled out of the garden"

I checked DVLA and it looks like it was taken off the road in 1996 when only 8 years old. The owner wants more than scrap value but not too much as she recognises that anyone who buys will need to go to the bother of getting it pulled out of her garden. I understand that the wheels have been freed so that it can be pushed/winched.

I am struggling to upload the pictures but will try later. Car is in dark metallic blue (Moonraker I think), steel wheels version and looks to be complete. - Nick
