  • Protecting dashboard in sun

    Dear All

What is an effective way of protecting our delicate dashboards from the sun?
Having been to a few shows mine is starting to deteriorate - cracks lengthening etc.
Maybe a towel over the top?

    Cheers

i use a silver sun screen i just place it over the dash but leave it off once and the dash has cracked any way.but i still use it so it does not get any worse

Apparently if the dash is already cracking then drill a small hole at the end of each crack to relieve the stress and stop it lengthening. I haven't tried it but know of others that have, Worth a try.

I've done that on my plastic fairings on the bike which I believe is the correct way to repair before plastic welding. Certainly stopped mine from getting any worse assume it works in the same principle with the dashboard.
