I have owned this Maestro since 2013, i am only the second owner. It is rock solid underneath, never been welded and does not need any. Only a little rust just starting to appear, a little patch 3 " near the windscreen rubber on the N/S that i have treated, a small blister on the bottom of the O/S/F door and the leading edge of the front wings arch's.
