I have an ex-works Maestro which Tony Pond raced in the 80s and I'm doing some historical research on his rally career (particularly with Austin Rover). Sadly the legend is no longer with us, but I'd like to write to a member of his family to see if they might be willing to be interviewed, or have any photos/memorabilia of him in this car etc.
I recently came across and interviewed a mate and contemporary competitor of Pond's -Tony Fowkes (former works Mercedes & Safari rally driver) and he thought that Pond and his wife Nikki moved back from the Isle of Man to Uxbridge, London. I understand that he was a member of Sutton & Cheam Motor Club, and had links with the NORMAN REEVES Ford garage in Uxbridge according to this:

although I suspect that the garage is long gone from what I've seen on the Internet about it.
If you can shed any light on the above or provide any leads for me to write to, I would be very grateful.
