Begs the question where is the fuel pump on a Rover 216 then. Having looked on everyone’s favourite search engine it appears it is an electric pump in the fuel tank on the 216. The one mounting hole is for the dipstick bracket as per a Montego/Maestro so i assume it is the same for the Rover 216....

Having gone back to my Rover publications and finding a later version (Publication 4327 dated 1992) to check summat else i notice in the small print there were/are SLXi estates so you remembered correctly - his SLXi estate car is almost Countryman spec as detailed in a previous post. No worries, curious though. My catalogue collection has a gap between December 1990 and publication 4312 in 1992 so i can't be certain Rover did or didn't do an SLXi estate. As a recent owner of various Montegos i have found the forum a great source of info and as such am more of a receiver of info than a issuer from the site and Jeff (turbo) and Dr diesels' considered answers to questions from my point of view is beyond measure. Long may it continue. Being influenced by...

I'll give it a go many thanks Jeff. I assume it is there for a good reason vis to stop fluid exiting through the breather hole in the cap itself under certain conditions? I considered using a (small) cable tie but was concerned the tie may work itself off and disappear into the pump itself. I'm surprised...

Power Steering pump dipstick
Hello all, see picture. The "baffle - anti spill" part no CDU2969" on the power steering pump dipstick has come to the end of its useful life - it keeps falling into the pump. What is the worst that can happen with it missing? Anyone know where this can be bought? I have previously bought...
