I'll give it a go many thanks Jeff. I assume it is there for a good reason vis to stop fluid exiting through the breather hole in the cap itself under certain conditions? I considered using a (small) cable tie but was concerned the tie may work itself off and disappear into the pump itself. I'm surprised...

Hello all, see picture. The "baffle - anti spill" part no CDU2969" on the power steering pump dipstick has come to the end of its useful life - it keeps falling into the pump. What is the worst that can happen with it missing? Anyone know where this can be bought? I have previously bought...

Doh! no i've got my brain into gear the "rats nest" of wiring that came out of my Montego has the connectors that fix into the car loom. They are the white ones in the picture. Now i have the radio end connectors courtesy of Jeff (see previous post) i can connect those to the white connectors...

Yes that would help with the radio end. I'm also in conversation with an audio shop that i'm hoping will have the other end if not a whole link. If not i can cut off the existing loom sockets and splice it in. Not sure what's on the other end of your loom and whether that can be joined as is to my loom...

Thanks Jeff, this has certainly improved confidence in the car. Just for info the ECU is an even later type vis NNN10016 (black plastic box) it having the F51 engine code. It is the same ECU on my auto saloon with F52 engine code. As my car chassis number is past 631913, contrary to what i wrote previously...
