spring meeting

yes,it went very well, I thought ,a bit blustery, occasional rain etc , great turnout of allegros [55] with one that came on the Saturday ,not returning ,but excellent turnout of metros as well ,made to feel welcome really enjoyed the day, some really nice cars , would have been better[from our point of view] if we had a few more in attendance, but hey-ho.

it is a shame that more don't turn out for events...

speaking with the organisers at Gaydon they said that all the clubs they deal with are complaining of poor attendances.

its the same old story of late, fuel prices, no pay rise for years, wage cuts, no job security any more.

I'm only attending 2 shows this year - I can't fund any others!

im just retiring now, so will have to myself watch what I do from now on but, I am now trying to attend more events, in support, as much as meeting people who"s names and faces Ive never met , but the cost of doing so is as you say a problem nowadays, heads down probably for a while , making sure as many cars , as possible survive, and interest in them.
