  • [Wanted] Ignition Barrel and Keys

I need a new ignition barrel and keys for an 1985 Austin Maestro 500 L.
(or a compatible barrel and key)
Car was broken into and steering lock smashed.
Car has failed the MOT and need break pads as well.

Would be a shame not to keep this Maestro up and running as its only done 55K miles and the body is in fantastic condition.

    Any forthcoming advice appreciated

the OP seems to have desperately bad luck; he messaged me:

'Thanks for the offer but unfortunately the car was stolen again last night. This time burnt out. I'll be looking for a new car entirely.'

          What a terrible shame

I hope GHJ manages to locate a suitable replacement van.

They were probably disturbed during the first attempt and went back again to finish the job off
