Hi Andy,

In a way yes, it will last a lot longer than the original one being all alloy construction and if you up the boost then the end caps have a tendency to blow off so that would not happen with this one.
It will give a bit better air flow too as the holes running through the cooler are slightly bigger as seen in the photo.
