  • [For Sale] Breaking Maestro Van 700, no engine or gearbox.

Collecting the engineless van I won on ebay tomorrow. I am only saving the gear linkage and gearbox for spares for my new maestro td.

    It's a 700 if that helps.

Does anyone need any bits off it before its scrapped. Be quick as it's only here for a couple of days before its off!

If anyone wants to save it whole I can keep it here for a max of 1 week due to space issues.

        Parts needed

        Hi Lee

I could do with some parts, if the van still has them bud

        Gear knob 5 speed
        Rear bumpers

There are other parts but I cant think of them right now!

        Kind Regards

Well, I'm sat at the collection point as arranged but the engine hasn't been removed yet!

Two Germans are scurrying around trying their best to get it out, I don't even think they have an engine crane!

Yes they were very specific, today was the only day for collection.

12 noon was agreed as the engine had to be removed, what they failed to mention was the seller was arriving in the uk from Germany at 9am!!

I waited for 2 hours and there was probably another hour at least to get the thing out, they didn't have an engine crane and just some basic tools.

At 2pm I got back in the car and drove home, out of pocket my fuel money but more annoyingly a lost day tinkering on the cars here.

However it gave my new maestro td a good 250 mile run out.

I was looking at this myself as it's only down the road from me but I only want the front end and it needs to look like an mg so I decided it was too much work to convert this to plastic bumper for a garden ornament!(don't ask)

Could do with the N/S upper and lower rear doors hinges if they are solid until I can source NOS ones

                            Van spares needed

                            Hi,
I could do with rear door hinges o/s and n/s rear light cluster if you have it. Also what seats does it have? What are the rear quarter bumpers like and headlining?
                            Cheers, GSDGuy
