  • [For Sale] Red carpet, Van rear window mesh and new radiator

As various people have asked me for some bits I've dug a few out and put some pictures below.

Red carpet - I can only find the front at the moment I'm afraid. However this was fine for what I wanted (my van).

Rear window grills for a maestro van. These are purpose made sheet steel ones. They were plastic coated but this has started to peel so they could do with a clean up and paint/powder coat if you want them to look their best. Two pictures - one of the outside and one of the inside.

Lastly a brand new OE radiator for a maestro/montego. I'm not sure what models it is for as I couldn't see a part number on the box (lots of tape over it). However I've included a tape measure in the photo so you can check if it'll fit yours.

I'll have a look around as I thought it would be strange for me to take just the front half out!

It is the thinner one so I suspect from an MG1600.

                  red carpet

Is that the difference dan? mg 1600 thinner? I assumed incorrectly, the difference was the mg 1600 ones had the extra width for the rear heating ducts,[fronts],well you learn something every day

I think all the early cars had the rear heater ducts, I think the MG got the thinner carpet and less sound deadening. But that is only based upon hearsay I think.

Sorry, to be honest I've not had chance to look. I will look for you though once things calm down a bit (in the middle of an engine rebuild on the missus T16 and now the flaming dishwasher has packed up and needs mending!).
