    Yes that is an option so long as you can actually get a good weld to it (its a begger to weld as it is high carbon). I think I'll still investigate using a tube with some grub screws in it if it is thick enough to take them.

      Dan if you extend the sleeve outward beyond the bush, could you drill right through both sleeve and bar, and fit a roll pin?

        Yes that is true - but have you tried to drill spring steel?

          I think I have a genuine pair of these still in packet. I'll have to try and see if I can find them but I'm sure I saw then a couple weeks ago. PM me if interested.
