I asked some further questions to try and get more information, and below is Roger's reply:
If you're interested in this MG Maestro, please get in touch with me for Roger's email address and phone number. Roger is open to offers. Sadly, I do not know anymore than is in this post, so will not be able to answer any questions that you may have.
Hi
I work with Paul Eve and he suggested I contact you on the off chance you know anyone who might want my old MG Maestro. It’s a 1990 2.0i and was last on the road a couple of years ago but needs welding for MOT. It’s a complete car but in need of work. Wings, doors, bonnet and tailgate look reasonably low on rust but need paint.
Alternatively do you know of any specialist dismantlers rather than sending it to the crusher?
Unfortunately I need to move it relatively quickly due to a developing issue with the neighbour!
Regards
Roger

Hi Tanya
Many thanks for the quick reply. I’m just south of Cambridge, probably best to give my home phone (I've taken this out, but will give it to anyone who is serious about enquiring) there’s an answering machine. I bought it 24 years ago but have to accept I’m not going to get round to restoring it myself, I’d just prefer to avoid the scrapman. The removal timescale is weeks rather than months.
Regards
