    • Spotted today: Minty mint ex BT 500 City on an F (Austin - two spoke wheel and vinyl trim). Also L plate Countryman D in Caribbean Blue. Photos to follow.

Typical that I decide to print flyers tomorrow at university then promptly spot two today! Have left details on scraps of paper anyway - hopefully the owners will be able to read my writing!

      • Spotted today, not days after discussing just how long it has been since seeing a Maestro or Montego in the wild... A Montego DSL Turbo in our yard with a suspected injector fault. Only done 78k. Owner was surprised that I had just got out of an immaculate D reg one so I told him to have a nosey on his way out.

        • You mean "Spotted just after Skelton taunted you by rhapsodising over this Maestro van"

That's in better nick than the Countryman I saw

          • Here's today's spots. I've included a Metro VP I see regularly.

EDIT: 20 flyers printed so I don't get caught out again!

            • Just spotted in Tadworth on my way home for lunchbreak a late green Montego Estate, L430 FKX. May well have been a Countryman but not sure as only saw it briefly enough to get the registration, but it did look rather clean and tidy. Sure I have seen this car before.

              • Was at some lights in Hyde this afternoon, when I checked my mirror and noticed a Flame Red Maestro pulling up behind! When moving I could see it was a tidy, original Maestro Special! Reg was F132 KJA.

                  • I saw an MG Maestro 1600 and a Montego 1.6HL.

Although in fairness it was a pre-arranged meet.

Fairly sure I've seen that kicking about in Tameside before.

                      • Spotted in the Kitts Green area of Birmingham. Bit mucky but otherwise in good condition.

I really need to carry some club fliers around with me!

                            • Spotted this badboy at an abandoned village petrol station at Aston Ingham near Ross On Wye,Herefordshire. Not sure what model she is as it was pitch black and covered in algae but i'm planning to go back tomorrow to see if it can be saved. Had a brief look around and seemed pretty rot free
There was also an early Peugeot 309,a couple of old Leyland (i think) buses and other vehicles too that don't seem to have moved in a long time. I will be going back to investigate as a mate of mine is sure there maybe a few Montegos parked up around the back of the yard
