      Back Home!

Went to pick the old lady up this afternoon, the damage is not as bad as it sounded, really the most damage is to the bumper which has snapped off on the nearside, see photos. indicator light cover is broken but bulb and headlight still working. N/S headlight is pushed backwards slightly at the bottom. The wing just has a slight mark in the paintwork. Drivers door lock has been prised out so there is paint off down to bare metal just around where the lock should be. The plastic ignition cover has been broken and any key will start the car. At the recovery garage they told me that there seemed to be a coolant leak. Car also covered in white dust coutesy of SOCO. So it was £150 for recovery and £40 to bring her home.
It is now garaged once more and the garage door has 3 great big **** off locks!

Glad you got the car back with only minimal damage, it could've been much worse. I'll look and let you know if I have any parts left that might be of use to you.

The Arabs have got it right.
                  This country's got too soft.

Great news that your car is back relatively undamaged! If the police removed the car for the purpose of forensics then they have to pay for the recovery charges, not you. Was the car blocking a road or in a dangerous position? If not then there was no reason for them to recover it on your behalf.

my GTE was stolen but found it was scrapped-the skunt charged me storage and the scrap value for it to have it back-my damage was rear tail gate, n/s door with forklift holes, lights, ignition barrel etc etc
happy days-so i know exactly how you feel matey
but glad to have it back
0-60 in 8.2 hours 1/4mile in time for breakfast but the rust wins hands down

Some people should be tazered for a day or two non-stop.
