  • Low biting point

Well now that im using the car ive decided to tackle a few things that bother me, the car had a new clutch fitted approx. 500 miles ago but then was parked up for a long time, ive fitted a brand new clutch cable and still the bite point is right at the floor and although it changes gear fine it would make driving it easier, the pedal lines up with the others and has good tension, any ideas on how I could cure/adjust this problem?

    re -clutch cable

i am no expert but i think your new cable mite not be working properly.
as i think you have to have a bit of play of half inch at the pedal end inside the car

Id say it has half an inch, its just very low down and you have to hit the floor to change gear without crunching it.

The ratchet on the cable might be defective but unlikely on a new cable. You could try pushing down on the clutch arm simultaneously pushing in the cable towards the bulkhead to reset it and effectively increase its length.
