    I am - I'm judging

I will look out for you and if you see me, come and say hello.

It would be good to see other Maestros and Montegos there. Some of the other cars that turned up last year were as interesting as the official exhibits.

That's near Whittlebury Hall which is a great place - stayed there a couple of times! (That's not really relevant is it though )

I entered my beige Maestro and my FE Victor months ago and sadly haven't had a response Maybe they don't want them?

No problem - happy to help. The Festival of the Unexceptional wouldn't be the same without a beige Maestro

Of six judges, you've got two on here and a third has owned 4 or 5 Maestros...

I had a phone call from the organisers Hagerty Insurance this afternoon, they thanked me for applying and said they were looking forward to seeing my cars. They asked if they could pass on my details to BBC Essex, who would like to interview me about my passion for unloved old automobiles!

I'll try to drop in a few Maestro references

                      Excellent - good work Richard.

They don't come more unexceptional than a Hearing Aid Beige Maestro, so it deserves lots of mentions!

After it's been broadcast, please can you put the link up because I think we'll have just under a week to be able to listen to you before the BBC remove it from iPlayer.

Well, yesterdays Festival was good fun... and the rain stayed away too!

Nice to meet a few people on here, and to put faces to names.

I only saw two Monty's. One was mine! and the other I understood from Tanya was Sam's Diesel estate.

Richard's Beige Maestro (mentioned earlier in the thread) was on display, and I think I saw a total of four other Maestro's in the parking area during the day, including Tanya's.

Great little display of what were once popular cars on display. From memory .... Allegro's, Capri's, Escort, Cavalier, Scoda, Volvo, Vauxhall 2300 & Firenza, Fiat 127, Renault, Avenger, Sierra, Mini, Imp, Marina and an immaculately restored Isetta Bubble Car. Others that I can't recall right now.

The parking area was a great place to look around too. They usually are at Car Shows aren't they! An immaculate Rover P4, nice Cortina Mk1 GT, nice Capri 2.8i (always fancied one), immaculate Maxi and a lovely Triumph Vitesse convertible (had one!) spring to mind.

I've got a selection of photo's but I'm sure there will be better quality / focused ones on the Hagerty Insurance Web Site in due course!

                        Cheers, all

                        John
