  • Weak Headlining

I have managed to get a second hand headlining with sunroof for my Maestro. It is a compressed cardboard type. I need to recover but I also want it to be a bit more rigid.
What is the best way to do this? Some say use fibreglass matting and others say use gaffer tape and cover the back with that. I have another linning but it is the rolled earlier version but I think that will be too heavy for it.

Has anybody ever strenghtened the headlinning before?

    Cheers

Not sure why you'd want to strengthen it.

If you want to you could make up some fibreglass resin and paint the back of the cardboard with it. It'll sink in and then go hard if that is what you are after.

      re headlinning

I would use it as it is as the is no reason to attach any thing to it to keep it up.
just the handles and sun visors fixings and the plastic strip on the rear hatch
