  • Japanese Maestros

Evening all, I am trying to find photos of MG Maestros in Japan.
I am sure I have seen at least one such photo of an MG over there.
    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Dear Andrew

I can't imagine the Maestro as well as the Montego have been exported to Japan. The Japanese have a peculiar eye towards European cars. A car like the Mini fits this excellently, but the Maestro and Montego are on the other end of the scale. I would even dare to say that outside Western Europe perhaps only Australians and New Zealanders have the cultural feeling to understand these cars.
If I'm wrong, please don't hesitate to write.

Hi , not sure about MG Maestro but it appears Montego's were briefly on sale in Japan (saloons and Estates ) but i think only in VDP spec....got to say I was a little surprised! So suggests that for a brief period top spec Maestros may have also been on offer?

Well, if there's a Japanese brochure about the Montego, than however strange it may be, it indeed seems the model was exported to the land of the rising sun.
