  • How many Maestros and Montegos?

Doubtless the question has been asked before, but I've been searching through old threads and can't find anything.

Just how many Maestros and Montegos are owned by members of this forum?

The question occurred to me cos someone said today that there's a Maestro van in this area, but I've never seen it. And when I got a new tyre recently at a place just along the road, the fitter said they didn't see many Maestros but they'd had one in the day before! - I've not seen that one either.

I've just got the one - it's my daily drive.

i have 3, maestro efi, maestro 1.3, and maestro 700 van.

    Running total: 4 Maestros

if people reply to this thread and have maestros, add it to the above figures, or montegos add to the below figure!

    0 montegos.

We did have a 'tally' thread a while back on which I think we couted about 100 cars...

Of course not everyone contributed and the only real figures we could get are on the Membership Database.

Having thought about it, simply between 'us northerners' that get together most weekends, there are a hell of a lot of cars.

There are four within an area of 3 miles from my house that belong to people unknown.

                I have:

                B797 TFC - Mk1 Austin Montego 1300
                D862 VPU - Mk1.5 Austin Montego 1600HL

The same as everywhere else I guess!

When 'In your area' last year, I did spot a white Ledbury Maestro in Seascale, and also spotted a dead Maestro 1.6 SL abandoned by the side of the A595 just before the turn off for Drigg.

Yes, It's the one near the petrol station. I have seen it a couple of times in 2005 on a trips up to the Lakes planning the Club's 'Great North Run'.

On the run itself, serveral of us gained access to it and poured all over it. God knows what passers by were thinking!

The Ledbury is a T Reg. See below! Thats the very car...
