Bit off topic but according to Practical Classics there are only 660 Marinas left in the UK - and they built 950,000 of them! Thats a less than 0.01% survival rate!

There are probably more in Cyprus or New Zealand or somewhere than here!

I heard that about Marinas too from a girl i know in the Marina club. Although this number only included cars currently taxed or sorned, it doesn't include those that are not either, or in long term storage/garage finds etc.

I believe the numbers were obtained after the Marina club officially approached the DVLA so maybe something for this club to consider?

Just the one Maestro for me: a Mk. 1.5 Vanden Plas called Joe. I have had to ration myself otherwise it could get out of hand.

If it did get out of hand, I'd like one of the following:

          Montego Turbo
          Maestro Turbo
          Maestro 2.0 EFi
          Montego GTi
          Montego Cabriolet (with digi-dash)
          Montego Vanden Plas
          Maestro Mk. 2 Vanden Plas
          Maestro Mk. 1 Vanden Plas

Then there's the list of Jaguars I'd also like... There's just no enough storage space in the world, is there?!

yeah i think approaching the dvla for figures would be a good idea. would have to be a club official though, because i doubt they'd bother to give data to anyone.

oh, and 1 Montego 1.3 here

just scrapped my vauxhall astra, are you proud of me

Just out of curiosity... I'm impressed that people have SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many Maestros & Montegos, but 2 questions:

                        1) Where on EARTH do you keep them all?
                        2) Are they all (or mostly) taxed and do you ever use them?!

I'm not being rude or anything, but I don't have time to use my 3 cars very often...!

two of mine are currently at a garage, one in a lock up I have near it, and one being restored.
My metro is also in the lock up, and my newly acquired monty turbo will be going there too, to get it back on the road.
my TD lives at home, as do'es my BGT.

i have a drive of cars that dont move. and one in the garage. the one that got me from A to B i just scrapped on monday. so i've borrowed my dads/grans cavalier. i was at one point switching between 3 cars, but i think thats probably my upper limit of the amount of cars i can use.

i have only 1 car with MOT at the moment and it needs a new fuel pump, hopefully should have one now. im insured on 2 of my cars and still insured on the scrap for some reason.
