    History:

Once purchased, the car spent a few months on my drive receiving some of the above additions plus a very thorough clean and polish. It was my first Montego (of only two!) and I was eager to drive such a beautiful machine as this. As of 1st February 2010 D648 PVW was put into service and used daily.

Unfortunately the following winter was harsh on the car and so before the 2011 show season, paintwork to the bonnet and both rear arches was recitified professionally by my local bodyshop. In its freshness the car went on to show at Tatton Park (on both days) and MG Saloon Day at Sandon Hall.

Since being stored through the Winter of 2011/12 (whilst I used my Rover 75 Connoisseur SE V6 daily), the front end of the Silver Bullet was stripped so I could respray the entire front section around the radiator, slam panel, extension panel, radiator and bumper struts. The car is now reassembled, insured and taxed pending its return to the road to be used... wait for it... daily, once again..!

looks great that mate - and I'm glad to see you're flying the flag as a daily driver! - I love using mine more often and commuting the 60 mile a day round trip I do, i'm not quite daily driver status myself as I alternate around our fleet but I do use my Maestro probably the most at the moment.

            Spring Update

As many may already know, I've recently had the entire front end of the car resprayed. This includes the bonnet, both wings, front bumper, spoiler and driver's door bottom to rectify a slight crease where it must've driven into a garage along another object.

I've also resprayed the Turbo rear spoiler and all of my alloy wheels, which I've fitted with nearly new Continental tyres of a better profile than the 50s that were on before causing a harsh ride.

This is how it currently looks, battering the streets of Manchester daily - until my Rover 75 V6 returns to the road next week.

Those chunkier tyres certainly make a difference to how it looks...as well as how it rides no doubt!

A set of number plates in the correct typeface would finish it off nicely.
