On the MG MMM club site if you poke around you will come across mention of a Maestro rallycar that once served as a rallyschool training car...isnt this one worth saving? It sounds intriguing. Possibly an ex-factory car given they would have been interested in supporting a project that gave good exposure to the brand, and even more possible given Goodwood would have looked to factory help with this project rather than just outright from a local dealer. They would have had a Safety Devices cage, seats, sumpguard and much else. Odd that its still survived, even in laid up state.
