Car Delivery Companies?

Can anyone recommend a good delivery company for moving a car?

I have bought a motor that is currently in Inverness and needs moving down the country to Stourport-On-Severn.

I have registered it on 'Shiply' and got quotes before the purchase as low as £195, now I've paid for the car these seem to have disappeared and now they want between £4-600.

Your recommendations please

Is the car road-legal or does it have to be transported?

For £400 - £600 you could buy a trailer and get it yourself, I would have thought!

The car has just passed MOT, its insured but sorned.

If I was in uk i would fly up and drive it back, however Afghan isn't local enough for that option

Have had a £333 bid but there is still £40 charge on top of that for the pleasure of using Shiply!!

i tend to use shiply to guage the price people are asking then go onto ebay, type in "car delivery" and choose "distance nearest first and type in the postcode of where the car is. Now you should have lots of companies advertising for car delivery. All the adverts have a telephone number, so you can call them, without shiply taking their cut. Has worked 3 times for me.

The problem is trying to call someone from afghan is a bloody nightmare. Going to wait out for a bit.
