  • Potholes? More like Craters!!

Does anyone else find that you're constantly avoiding potholes these days? The roads around crewe are truly shocking at the moment; i've had some right bangs just lately when driving in the maestro.

Well I was casually driving home a couple of days ago and came across these couple of badboys - they're MASSIVE! Fair enough they aren't on a main road, but these are just ridiculous.

Yes, they are proper craters. I went into a pot hole and mullered both nearside alloys a couple of years ago. Thank goodness for steel wheel rims and 165 x 13 balloon tyres that I've got on my Maestro SL! No more alloys for me!

Same here aswell, there are a few nasty ones lurking around various parts of Surrey at the moment. Bloody things. Think my other half's Seat Ibiza has incurred some damage recently as is squeaking underneath now and is rattling. I done damage to my Escort last year aswell and damaged a Mondeo before that because of some being like craters as mentioned. You just don't see some of them until it's too late and obviously it's worse on country roads in the dark. Probaly will be another 3 months atleast before they are even looked at by the council. Unless a poor unfortunate cyclist sues them after encountering one. But then probaly the funding to repair the things is in a Jersey Bank account with a few toffs creaming off it.

We, in Inverclyde have got the worst roads in the UK...and that's official.
It said so in the press.
Our main road in Gourock has some big pot holes that traffic cones were put in them to warn non locals of them. The ferry traffic now comes through our (very) little town and chews up the road surface.

I would take a photo but I'm too busy at the garage getting my tracking done again
